KairosPDX is seeking a full-time Elementary 3–5 Teacher to join its team in Summer 2026. They are looking for an educator who is committed to equity, culturally responsive teaching, collaboration with families and colleagues, and supporting the academic, social, emotional, and cultural growth of upper elementary students.

As part of Dr. Armstrong’s Lift Literacy Campaign, Readers on the Rise celebrates the joy and power of reading across our schools. 8 ORABSE retirees had the honor of visiting Woodlawn to read with 1st–5th grade students—and we were welcomed with such warmth and enthusiasm.

On April 25, ORABSE hosted its third Restore Refuel Revive Wellness Event, bringing together Black educators from across Oregon for a day of healing, reflection, self-care, and community. Through workshops, meditation, yoga, storytelling, wellness treatments, and meaningful connection, participants had the opportunity to recharge, feel supported, and be reminded that they are not alone in this work.
