This year, ORABSE received 69 applications for the Dr. Ernest Hartzog Founders Scholarship. The selection process highlighted the exceptional talent, leadership, dedication, and potential of each applicant. After a thorough review, scholarship recipients were selected in recognition of their academic achievements, community involvement, and future aspirations. As part of Dr. Armstrong’s Lift Literacy Campaign, Readers on the Rise celebrates the joy and power of reading across our schools. 8 ORABSE retirees had the honor of visiting Woodlawn to read with 1st–5th grade students—and we were welcomed with such warmth and enthusiasm.
